Q4 Clue 840 | Feedback
How do you give feedback to the different styles, and how do you prefer to receive feedback?
D-style
Be specific and get to the point. Concise and give factual examples. Be prepared for a direct response or confrontation. However, this is likely to be short-lived, and once it is out in the open, it will be resolved.
I-style
Choose the right moment and create a pleasant setting. It is essential to do this without others present. Speak from your heart and be personal. Use words such as “I feel” or “I don’t like that”.
S-style
Try to put yourself in the other person’s shoes. Different people have different styles and circumstances. Therefore, it is important to show understanding of the other person and the situation.
C-style
Give feedback on the work’s performance, not on the person(ality). It is also important that the feedback is constructive so that you can learn from it. This applies to both positive and negative feedback.
