Q4Clue 606 Hiring – Educating – Retaining
An important trinity. Of course, to employers, but also for you as an employee. Or as your own boss. What motivates based on the Personal DISC Style?
- Hiring (what am I looking for)
- Educating (developing)
- Retaining (continuing)
D-style
- Seeking a challenge, wants to embark on a (new) adventure.
- Give space to experience for oneself, minimal supervision—the principle of trial and error.
- Opportunities. To develop, to grow, to be promoted, to increase earnings, etc. – High(er) goals.
I-style
- A lively and open working environment. Exhibit it and demonstrate it (meet up with the new the colleagues).
- Above all, practical. Learning out of books doesn’t make it. Always wants something more, something different.
- Allow stepping into the foreground (more). And above all; offer variety, avoid boredom.
S-style
- A secure working environment, safe and with guarantees. Good benefits.
- A relaxed introduction, training preferably by an experienced colleague of the same style. Allow time for this.
- Above all, show sincere appreciation. And point out the certainties (you know what you have now…).
C-style
- Information. The job description cannot be extensive enough. And answer all questions in detail.
- Ditto. Information. Explanation, rules, procedures etc. and everything in writing. Give enough time, but give a little push now and then.
- Maintain a challenge. Should remain mentally stimulated. Otherwise, it will be too easy, monotonous.
