Like a coffee?

Like a coffee?

Popping out for a coffee. For some, it’s a quick break; for others, it’s a lovely opportunity to bump into someone. Even around the coffee machine, you can recognise the different styles.

C
C-Conscientious
Conscientious

Often has slightly higher expectations of coffee than the average machine can meet. After all, there’s a much better machine at home. The right intensity, a tidy machine and consistent quality certainly help. A glitch? Then eyes quickly turn to the C: “Do you know how this works?”

D
D-Dominant
Dominant

Prefers the coffee to just be there. “Will you pop one in for me too?” saves the trip. If the D goes themselves, it’s usually efficient: grab it and carry on. Although it does happen that the coffee is only found much later, cold. Too busy.

S
S-Steady
Steady

“Would anyone else like anything?” The S type readily thinks of the people around them and is happy to bring something along. It’s nice when the favour is returned, because that’s how it should be. And before the S type heads for the coffee machine, they might take a moment to check first who’s standing there…

I
I-Influential
Influential

The coffee machine is a great place to bump into people for a moment. A quick chat, a laugh, a catch-up, and then carry on with renewed energy. However, “just popping out for a coffee” can sometimes take a bit longer than planned as a result.

Does this sound familiar during your coffee break?
