After studying Legal Political Sciences at Leiden University, I became an internal sustainability consultant at Royal Ahold. After 4 years of work experience as an internal consultant and trainer of communication and negotiation techniques for works council skills, I found that I had enough work experience and background to start my own company. At the age of 31 I started my first organisational consultancy specialised in optimising the human factor in companies (and organisations) and became an entrepreneur (1996).<\/p>\n
I inherited entrepreneurship from my mother, who also worked as a self-employed person and was able to combine entrepreneurship with motherhood effortlessly.
During my entrepreneurship I also became the mother of 3 daughters (now 20,18 and 15 years old). In 2013, after a management buy out, I founded the organisational consulting firm ”Awareness in Business, conscious people better results” that specialises in the design and implementation of leadership and awareness-raising programs for senior management and business leaders. I am also a guest lecturer in Professional Development at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences ICT training and a guest lecturer in communication skills associated with PCO consultancy.<\/p>\n
My dream is to contribute in business to the transformation from result-driven to purpose-driven, in which the people who work in these organisations show the best of themselves based on their intrinsic motivation (talents and own purpose) and experience more happiness on the work floor for a good private-work balance.
In this way I strive to leave a better world for my children, where there is room for happiness, passion, intrinsic motivation and ambition.<\/p>\n
I have a passion for people and their intrinsically motivated potential, to guide them from there to the next level of consciousness (where my energy runs away and what are my personal needs). To then work and live effortlessly in flow from this heightened awareness from intrinsic motivation (from talents and purpose).
I feel privileged when I see that my work and energy contribute to greater awareness and positive change among individuals and teams in companies and organisations.<\/p>\n
Inspired by well-known authors such as Stephen Covey, Deepak Chopra, Brene Brown, Eckhart Tolle, Lynne Mc Taggart, Carl Jung and Helle Bundgaard, I effortlessly transform concepts and theories into practical tools for my clients.<\/p>\n
For more than 22 years I have experience as an independent coach, leadership development trainer and organisational consultant for various clients such as PwC Netherlands, PwC Middle East, DSM, Ahold, Boskalis, Princess Maxima Centrum, Sint Maarten Medical Centre, St Maartens Clinic, Aeson Solutions, Thal technologies, Public Matters, Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment, Social Affairs and the Public Prosecution Service. I am also certified as a DISC and Motivation Factor practitioner, instruments I use at the start of a coaching or leadership development trajectory.
I have broad experience in the design and implementation of leadership and coaching programs for business and government. I know how to switch and connect between hard and soft elements in my advice, training and coaching.<\/p>\n
